I owe the blog an update on how things are going for Michelle and I after living without Lucy for these many (5) months now.  I definitely was thinking of Lucy on the “anniversary” day of the 15th.  I also thought of her on July 15th, which was four months without her.  That was tax day (again, weird year) so I was defintely busy at work, but I still thought of my Goose.  Even though it has been over five months, still not a day goes by without my mind wandering off to think or her and miss her.

What brings me here today is to, in addition to paying respect to Lucy, is to bring attention to the website and blog I stumbled across today.  There is a couple that have been traveling across the county in a bus, and now are out to sea traveling the world – very cool, and these folks (Sean and Louise) are ahead of their times.  Now, it so hip to be doing this – traveling the country in an RV and then going to Sea.  These folks have been doing this for 16 years.  And it appears that they have been blogging the whole time!.  So, I have a lot to catch up on.

The blog can be found at http://ourodyssey.blogspot.com  I think you’ll like it.

It is actually a coincidence that I found the blog.  I had just come across an RV that was listed for sale on Craigslist – the very same RV that these folks used to own (I think).  It is old, but very cool!  The blog was listed there because it had some videos that showed a tour of the bus!

Also, they were open for comment, so I left one.  The couple had recently lost their beloved pet cat named Angel, during the coronavirus just like us.  They even commented that it is harder to go through this when this pandemic is going on, something that Michelle and I have often discussed.  I offered my condolences; they had put together a very moving blog post as a tribute to their cat Angel.  She had, remarkably, been with them for 19 years, so she had been with them across their entire RV and boating adventure all of these 16 years!  Truly fantastic!

Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say that we’re doing better but we still can’t stand being without Lucy!  She is sorely missed, and will never be forgotten.
