She was one of the finest dogs a person could every ask for, and she deserves to be remembered…always..

The photo we had printed for our wall has arrived.  I hope you like it as much as we do.  After ordering, it only took about 4 days for Costco to print and deliver to the house.  where we ordered a 12×12 metal print.  It came out with fantastic results; we couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Picture Printed For Lucy

I recently decided on a photo that I wanted to have printed for our wall.  I was going to have this at my workplace, but later decided to keep it at our house.  I purposely wanted this photo to be more of an action photo – Lucy outdoors having fun. This is a picture that we’ll look at everyday (or nearly) for years to come.  It should be something that evokes happy times that we have spent with her.  I chose this picture as the basis for what I eventually arrived at.  It was taken at the Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island on June 24, 2017.

Digital Version for Print

This was what the picture became, after cropping and some editing.  You’ll notice that there was some “photoshoping” done here.  I removed the leash as it wasn’t a very pleasing aspect of the picture.  I liked the warm colors; the setting sun was leaving a fantastic glow on Lucy and the logs that she was standing on.

And here it is on the wall...

We initially placed the finished product here, on the side of our cabinets in the kitchen.  The colos go well with the wood, but perhaps too well?  We may move this, but for now this is where the image of Lucy will live in our house.  I really love the way these metal prints come out!

Somewhat fitting...

As I was pulling together the photos for this post, I came across this one.  It was taken at the same time as the above picture of Lucy Goose.  Goose isn’t in it, but it shows the West – the setting sun, and Lucy is there somewhere over the horizon.  Beautiful evening and she was a beautiful girl!  Sleep now, girl.
